Great ideas make big projects and projects of a certain scale might adversely affect the environment. Several policies have been introduced to curb pollution. Our role is to help the project proponent conceive an environment-friendly project and thus we provide the following services:
A major part of the Indian sub-continent is still under protected forest areas, several pieces of these lands have been provided the title under the Forest Conservation Act 1980 and since have become desolate and to change the land-use due process is observed to receive clearance from the Forest Department. JMESPL facilitate a functional solution for such cases.
With India having a coastline spanning around 7,516 kms, the coastal regions have become significant for the economic growth and development of industries like shipbuilding and mining. In 2018, the government issued the Coastal Regulation Zone Notification 2018 to remove restrictions on building, streamlining the clearance process and increasing tourism in the coastal areas. Projects in deemed Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) need to adhere to CZMP developed by State Coastal Zone Management Authority. JMESPL helps proponents to designate the correct project site and procure all necessary permissions.
The Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) regulates the water extraction activities within the country. They issue NOC to abstract ground water (NOCAP) considering several key components of the environment to maintain the underground water reservoirs and keeping them from getting depleted. JMESPL understands the need to educate the proponents of the stipulated guidelines and help CGWA by proposing well-rounded systems of operation of projects.
Every commercial activity is hampered by certain pollution loads, the assessment of all the types of pollution accrued by particular project and its anticipated impact on the study area is calculated and presented in Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) Study.
An EHS audit is a key piece of your EHS management system, assessing your compliance with applicable MoEF&CC regulations and The Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 (by Ministry of Labor and Employment) standards to ensure that your management system performs as intended. Projects need to procure Consent from State Pollution Control Board before commencing any activity on the project site to keep the respective authorities informed of the project activity which lies in their region to help evaluate, monitor and regulate the pollution loads. JMESPL has successfully helped several industries and mining operations to achieve necessary permissions in accordance with all concerned guidelines.
